Excel spreadsheets

I love making complex spreadsheets for my clients. My favorite spreadsheet is the Order Sheet I made for my client that has a factory. Instead of hand writing data and adding the numbers manually. I designed a individual Ordersheet for each order that comes in and all the Order Taker has to do is place the amount in the right spaces. The individual orders appears in the Dailysheet where all the orders show minus the inventory count (which is manual typed in at the beginning of the week). The numbers are carried forward to the next day. There is also a space for the Supervisor to compare the actual stock to the stock written. At the end of the week all the Dailysheets are shown in the Weeklysheet and than so on to the Monthlysheet. This speadsheet gives my client a more accurate count of their inventory and saves Ordertaker time and energy.

My favorite Excel functions are Condition Formating, Find & Replace and Sort and Filter.

The Learning Curve

By running Urban Admin Inc. as a full time career, I am learning about more about myself. I am learning about running a business and other people. My work week is not 9am -5pm and I do not get my weekends off. (See I am writing this on Sunday on a longweekend). I am not complaining. I enjoy helping people and that is what I do. I help people. I help them save time, energy and even money. I help them organize themselves so that they can focus on their business or their personal lives. I have learned that time is a valuable commodity. Time can be money, presious moments with family and friends, and health. Time should not be wasted.

Starting my Virtual Administrative Business

For the past 3 months, I have been working on establishing my own virtual administrative assistant business. I have had my ups and downs. There have been times of excitement and days of "why did I get into this". I realize that life is a journey, your path can change many times but ultimately you want happiness at the end.

I know that path of a entrepreneur is a difficult one. I know I have the determination and courage to take this path plus I know I am not alone.
